New Ellie Goulding song

Starlet-in-waiting and local London lass Ellie Goulding has put a new track up on her MySpace page, called Swimming Pool.  This one’s more straightforwardly poppish and Smash Hits-happy than Ellie’s other songs, but still alleviated above the norm by her chalky, minstrel-style voice and, in this case, some dancey stylings by electro DJ du jour Starsmith.

Still no news of any gigs by Ellie, but with her fame rising (there’s even a Twitter page - the ultimate sign of lofty ambitions) and new songs now regularly appearing, it surely can’t be long.

Since I haven’t got the MP3, Ellie’s cover of, and vast improvement on, Sam Sparro’s Wish I Stayed, in collaboration with Frankmusik, is below.

Ellie’s debut album will be available through Neon Gold Records
