My friends* at SEXBEAT are putting on an exhibition. Yep, SOIWT is talking about art – things on walls and shit. Here’s the (slightly sarcastic) blurb:
“SEXBEAT has been an inaugural part of London’s DIY music scene for the last four years. It has gained notoriety as a promotions outfit, record label and blog specialising in exhibiting challenging live bands in unusual locations including railway arches and 16th century churches.
The identity of the movement has proved integral to its success. A series of increasingly p…rovocative hand drawn images of ladies with their tops off represents the groups playful and tongue in cheek approach towards their work.
Now finally, a hand picked selection of the finest SEXBEAT girls expose themselves together for the first time in a solo exhibition. 10 hand screened prints and a postcard book will be displayed and available to purchase from the gallery.”
So there you have it. The venue’s Eggs Milk Butter, a former post-office turned comic book and arts cafe in increasingly hip De Beauvoir. My favourite thing about the invite is that they’ve misspelt De Beauvoir. It runs from 2-12 June.

(* This is kinda a one-way friendship, in that I love SEXBEAT and consider them my chums, whereas they don’t, as far as I am aware, know that I exist. It hurts, man.)
