Real Fur are the band behind the Safari Funk parties, a series of crazed nights held in dowdy North London launderettes (before a national tour). It’s easy to get distracted by this propensity for cool events, though, and overlook Real Fur’s musical ability – which is considerate. They proffer a chirpy, highfalutin’ indie sound – but then so do 40,000 other acts. What makes them stand out are the small touches – natty hooks, happy claps – and the slightly slumberous feel they unexpectedly have.
