Sound Tracks

We’re only a couple of weeks away now from the Sound Tracks festival, a brand-new one-day London party held at three venues (Cafe Oto in Dalston, Concrete in Shoreditch and the Amersham Arms in New Cross) along the East London Line on Saturday 17 September (7-11pm in each venue).  Celebrating this new (ish), scenic transport link, the festival’s line up includes abstract dance innovator Fantastic Mr. Fox, rhythmic jazz quartet Shabaka & The Sons of Kemet and garage punkstress Marina Gasolina, formerly of Bonde do Role.  Real Fur and Age Of Consent are among the London acts present, while Ghostpoet will be DJing.

Best-sounding of all is a free Travelling Stage, with musicians playing acoustic sets from inside overground trains during the evening.  Wristbands for the event cost from a bargain £8.50.
