Due out 17 October, this is new from Visions of Trees, London purveyors of slightly hazy, velvet electro-pop and previous saviours of yours truly during my recent-ish break-up. The duo are now with a new label (Deadly People) and yet this doesn’t feel like much of a departure from their previous output – a little more electro-based, perhaps, but not radically different. That previous output was slick and seductive, so this isn’t a bad thing. But I did hope to be thrilled, wowed, shaken and stirred, and that hasn’t happened.
