Monday Music’s the one weekly post wherein Some Of It Was True! drops its London-only policy, and goes global.
Bang Bangz – Since Last Night
Houston band Bang Bangz promise “leaping arpeggios” in their songs. I have no idea if the trio make good on this promise, but what they definitely do deliver are lavish, thick-gloss coatings of sexy electronic pop, at once catchy and refined.

Tessa & The Typecast - Painter
Aint this just the sweetest thing you ever heard? All the way from Australia, fidgety and stammering. (via Trendland)
Mausi – Sol (mp3)
I had an awful summer, but one listen to this Newcastle lot and I’m tempted to remember it as the best, more carefree time of my life. Do do-do-do…
Extra Arms – Leaves The Ones That Left
A part of me thinks rock anthems should all be like this: building, elegant and, eventually, immense. In a subtle way, the track slowly carries me up to its plinth of a chorus, where epic, ear-bending guitars ensure that every last hair on my neck is erect in dizzy attention.

Stealing Sheep – Paper Moon (mp3)
Newly signed to Heavenly, Stealing Sheep will thankfully include this existing song on forthcoming record Noah and the Paper Moon. Thankfully because it’s wonderful, wonderfully odd,: full of tinny sounds, unexpected tempo-changes and flickery guitars – an overactive imagination let loose on record.
