Gentle Friendly – Rrrrrrr EP / The Shake Up

As much as the expression’s strange, it’s easy to see why South London duo Gentle Friendly‘s sound is described as “junked up”.  Their songs can sound at time like a hastily-glued-together set of sounds and vocals spat out at random by a sample machine: jarring and jagged.  But gradually these noises become easier to digest, as if one as has attuned to the frequency, or learned the language.  A new-ish mini-EP, Rrrrrrr, is out now on Upset The Rhythm, featuring these two numbers…
