SoHo saved me this morning. I woke up terribly early, my head a hungover crater thanks to last night, and my mind fraught from anxious sleep. But, in league with a mug of tea, the gentle, gorgeous pop of this new duo’s song To The Sea (from a debut album, available on iTunes) proved perfect for a sore, sorry temple. The folky elements, the soft arrangements, Hattie Marsh’s velvety voice… they all united to subdue my mental swirl, to calm my storm, to make all serene again.
